‘Destiny Dies’ lyrics

25 November, 07 · 1 Comment

Here are the lyrics for the soon-to-be-recorded-song ‘Destiny Dies’!

I’ve had enough
of her sweet touch
It felt so good
but she’s too much

Thoughts of what kind
goes trough her mind
I feel ripped up
Is this girl blind

Hold on through tonight
It’s gonna be alright
Everything matters tonight
when destiny dies

I search for light
but things ain’t bright
My mind is dimmed
but gains insight

I feel astray
She won’t say stay
I leave my keys
and slip away

Hold on through tonight
It’s gonna be alright
Everything matters tonight
when destiny dies

I’ve been loved and I’ve been torn
since the day when I was born
Will I ever get back glow
Time may show but I don’t know
No I don’t know, I don’t know, I don’t know

Hold on through tonight
It’s gonna be alright
Everything matters tonight
when destiny dies

Harddrive up and running!

25 November, 07 · Leave a Comment

It was the fire-wire cord that was the problem. It was probably damaged some how but I replaced it today and now things are as they should be.

Tip of the day: Do not by a retractable cord, by a normal one.

Hardware…

22 November, 07 · Leave a Comment

Maxtor OneTouch 4 PlusMy new external harddrive doesn’t work with firewire… USB works but I need the power of firewire for making music and film. I have a Maxtor OneTouch 4 plus and I bought a new firewire cable with 6 pin to 4 pin because the one I got with the drive was 6/6. The computer finds the drive but doesn’t dispaly it in ‘My computer’. As I understand there shouldn’t be a problem with the connection because I have a external power supply to the drive. Hardware… Now I don’t know if it’s my Dell Inspiron 6400, the cable or the harddrive that is the problem. Do you have an idea, perhaps?

Ash in Copenhagen

22 November, 07 · Leave a Comment

Last night I saw Ash for the fourth time in my life. This time in Little Vega in Copenhagen. Because of the lack of Swedish Ash fans in Sweden and the price I had to go alone. I’m not in Copenhagen very often so I felt a little worried about the walk from the central station to Vega. I went the fastest way, on Istedgade, and I think it’s the nasty street in Copenhagen… saw some prostitutes, pimps and I was also offered crack… Felt really strange.

The consert was nice. They played alot of old songs and a couple of new ones. All the ones I wanted to hear except for Sometimes. I stod in front of Mark, the bass player, and after the concert I felt all shaken bacuse of that. Ash are from Northern Ireland and in the same qualifying group as Sweden for the UEFA Euro 2008. And both played during the consert. They hoped Sweden would lose, but it didn’t go that way. Sweden qualified, Northern Ireland did not because they lost aginst Spain.

During my life I have stumbled over like three other persons that really like Ash. Yesterday I found a fourth - Morten. We talked before the concert, listened and went back to the central station together. Really nice.

And at last a cheezy comment to sumarize last night: Northern Ireland may have lost the game on the football ground, but on stage they won!

Ash!

Ash - Band pictureTomorrow is a nice day. Ash – my all time favorite band – are coming to town (or at least close to town). They are going to play in Copenhagen and I’ll  be there to absorb the sound they make. For those of you that have never heard Ash I recommend you to visit www.ash-official.com or www.myspace.com/ash. For those of you who have heard Ash before, I recommend the same sites. More about this the day after tomorow…

Time takes time

15 November, 07 · 2 Comments

Well… there haven’t been to much activity here for a while (again). Why is that? To sum up: Got in love, got an emotional brake down, got the kissing disease, passed out for three weeks and recovered. And here we are now. It has been a frustrating period but it has resulted in a couple of new songs and kind of a new style. Now… the world likes to work against me so I have hardware problems and my throat is a mess so I am having a hard time to sing. But I have ordered a new optical drive and some day I should be ok in the throat too, so some time soon this project will get on… :)

Guitar Hero II does affect people!

26 September, 07 · 2 Comments

Guitar Hero 2 guitarWhen I play guitar I prefer to play riffs and chords and have done that for a long time. Advanced techniques for solos and such have never really interested me. I’m a greater fan of making whole songs I like. Now, I work at a place where I get to play Gutiar Hero 2 every now and then. After three weeks I am slowly begining to se the joy in playing melodies instead of chords.

So now we know it’s true – video games DO affect people!

Slow progress is still progress

22 September, 07 · 1 Comment

Yesterday I finally discovered what I can do to gain control over my computer again. It has been standing in the last functioning position for weeks which – together with love and the fact that I’ve been working 24-7 – is the reason why not much has happened here. The solution seems to have something to do with my dvd drive. Depending on if it is ejected, I push it in or just have it closed the computer decides if it wants to boot or not. I’m gonna call Dell on monday (my first free week day in weeks!) and see if they have a permanent solution to all this. And then hopefully the creativity will overflow and I will write here more often.

Weird computer problem solutions

25 August, 07 · Leave a Comment

Dell Inspiron 6400My precious computer (named JED after the Grandaddy robot) has begun to behave strange. It isn’t really that unusual for computers in my life to do that after a couple of years (one day I will tell you about my HAL computer, and you’ll understand), but this computer contains all the Raven Nation stuff, my work and other interests so it would be a huge problem if it went bye bye. Well, yesterday I suddenly couldn’t start the JED. When I pushed the start button the power light just flashed but nothing else happened. Later on I tried again, with the same result. Then even later on I tried one last time and then it worked again. I wasn’t sure why. Today the same thing happened, but this time when I moved the computer when it was on. I cried some (not really, but I could have) and shook the damn thing. And of course it worked after that. I have stumbled upon quite a few weird computer solutions during my life, but this was the strangest one so far. But as they perhaps say somewhere - a solution is always a solution.
